What to do
- Warn and leave now. Call emergency services away from the leak.
- Gas alarm without smell: leave too. Do not go looking for it.
- Once away, report anyone still inside and where. Unable to leave: alert someone nearby without using devices beside the leak. Ask them to call from outside.
- Return only when firefighters or qualified professionals say it is safe.
What to avoid
- Near the leak: no phone, switches, flames or starting vehicles.
- Do not find or repair the leak. Do not delay leaving to move a cylinder or operate valves.
