Fainting / severe dizziness

What to do

  1. Feeling about to faint and no injury: lie with legs raised. Late pregnancy: lie on your side.
  2. Get help if not recovering or with chest pain. Do not drive.
  3. Fainting during exercise, while lying down or with palpitations: emergency help now. If unresponsive, do not wait a minute.
  4. Even if better, seek medical advice after fainting. Do not drive yourself for urgent care.
