What to do
- Keep at least 11 metres from the wire and anything it touches. Farther if instructed.
- Alert ANDE and emergency services if people are endangered.
- Do not touch someone contacting the wire. Wait for professionals to confirm disconnection.
- Keep others away without approaching the wire. Do not touch a car, fence, water or objects in contact. No sparks does not mean power is off.
What to avoid
- Do not touch or move wires. No pole rescue.
