What to do
- Do not enter or confront the intruder. From safety, alert police.
- From safety, tell police: location, injuries, weapons and where the offender went.
- Report injuries and request medical help.
- Once you are safe, ask someone you trust to stay with you, away from the attacker. Tell them where you are and whether you can move or speak. If danger returns, go to another safe place and report it. Do not wait to collect evidence.
