What to do
- Once safe, report what was stolen, where and when. For continuing danger, get urgent help.
- Stolen phone: from a trusted device, notify provider/bank. Change passwords and sign out sessions.
- If cards are missing, contact the bank to block them.
- Once you are safe, ask someone you trust to stay with you, away from the attacker. Tell them where you are and whether you can move or speak. If danger returns, go to another safe place and report it. Do not wait to collect evidence.
What to avoid
- Do not chase, confront or try to take the weapon.
- Do not give PINs or passwords to anyone contacting you claiming they can recover your property.
