What to do

  1. Call emergency services. They retain no charge: touch is possible if the scene is safe.
  2. Report numbers, location and ongoing storm. Injury: avoid unnecessary movement. Immediate danger or airway/CPR takes priority. Do not cross fallen wires.
  3. If unresponsive: call emergency services. If breathing is abnormal, start CPR with dispatcher guidance.
  4. If breathing normally, look for bleeding or burns. Keep watching response and breathing. Follow dispatcher guidance.
  5. Unresponsive and abnormal breathing: start CPR, include breaths if able and willing. Several people: request more helpers and follow dispatcher. Do not delay checking a pulse.
