What to do
- If exposed: leave the area. Outside, move upwind if possible.
- Do not enter fumes without specialist equipment. Call firefighters and report chemicals.
- If told to shelter indoors from an outside cloud: shut doors/windows, turn off ventilation and stay in the designated room.
- Report product if already known. Do not return for it. Unresponsive, seizure or breathing difficulty: emergency help now.
- Away from the spill: remove contaminated clothes without passing over your face. If possible, isolate in two bags. Leave untouched. Keep out of shelter and ordinary rubbish.
- General skin contamination: gently wash with lukewarm water and soap for at least 2–3 minutes. Do not scrub. Burns or special substances: use the specific guide and dispatcher.
- Do not touch contamination without suitable protection. From a clean place, request instructions and guide self-cleaning if possible. An ordinary mask does not make fumes safe to enter.
- Use clean clothes and keep warm. Child or dependent person: request protected cleaning help. Tell responders about exposure before approaching an ambulance or entering a hospital.
What to avoid
- If swallowed, do not induce vomiting or drink on your own.
