What to do
- If threatened or intimidated, seek protection and get help. If unwell, say so and request medical assistance.
- Threat or immediate danger: call emergency services. Without immediate danger: use the local non-urgent channel.
- Say where you are and what you saw or heard. State what you do not know.
- Wait somewhere protected. Report if unable to leave or speak. Without a phone, ask someone to call from safety. Report changing danger.
- If targeted or threatened, ask for protection. Say “I need medical help” or “I have difficulty communicating”. No need to explain an illness to bystanders.
What to avoid
- Do not confront or approach to investigate. Your safety comes first.
- Appearance, origin, religion or disability are not evidence of danger. Describe specific facts.
- Do not follow, search or photograph someone to publish as suspicious. Seek help for concrete events, not appearance.
